The San Diego beer guide
San Diego built the West Coast IPA — aggressively hopped, bone dry, unapologetic — and then built roughly a hundred and fifty breweries around it. This is the sunniest serious beer city on earth, where patio weather never ends and hop bitterness became a regional dialect.
North Park and the “Beeramar” industrial parks are the pilgrimage routes; the reward is drinking IPA at the source, in the county that taught the world what the style could be.
