The Kernel Brewery Taproom

The Kernel is the brewery whose railway-arch beginnings seeded what became the Bermondsey Beer Mile, and its taproom — opened in August 2024 at Dockley Road — is the definitive first stop on it. The draught list is the freshest possible cut of their pale ales, table beer, and London Sour, updated constantly, with Japanese izakaya food from the resident Yagi kitchen. It runs Wednesday to Sunday (plus bank-holiday Mondays), so plan a mile crawl for the back half of the week.
