Kehoe's

Why go

First licensed in 1803 and rebuilt in high Victorian style late in the 19th century, Kehoe's is the classic snug pub a minute off Grafton Street — stained-glass mahogany doors, wooden partitions, and proper enclosed snugs where you can shut a little door on the city. It stayed a working grocery-bar long into the 20th century and the fittings show it, drawers and all. Claim a snug early in the evening or join the crowd that spills onto South Anne Street; either way it is the most atmospheric pint within reach of the main shopping drag.
